International Airline Transportation Association rule 82 (IATA-CR82) requires that specific breeds of dogs are only permitted to be transported in reinforced kennels with mesh rod panel cover on door. The size of the kennel needed to meet airline requirements for shipping can vary by airline carrier and It is based on the height and length of your dog.

The airlines usually require 2" clearance above the top of the dogs head for domestic travel and 3" clearance for international travel.
